Take a Tour
Airdrie Library and Multi-Purpose Facility will be innovative and meet the needs of a dynamic and growing community; it will be a destination for all and contribute to a healthy, connected community.
In the consultations with community members and organizations it was clear that Airdrie wanted space to come together. In response to this request APL designed several spaces that could be used as casual gatherings, community functions and meetings.

"The new library offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance our children’s programming, providing more room for creativity, learning, and fun for families.
However, for me it is all about connecting. The library is the heart of the community, and this new space will help families connect and build stronger community ties."
-Tanya, Children's Program Supervisor
"I am excited for all the stories that will fill that new building to the brim. And that includes but is not limited to the ones that are printed and bound and put on our shelves. Every family beginning their children's reading journey at one of our programs, every lifelong learner upgrading their skills and exploring new career opportunities, and everyone who comes to just hang out and socialize in one of our clubs is making the library a part of their story. I am excited and honored to get a front row seat for this next chapter in our community's story."
-Matthew, Library Assistant
"I am so excited to be a part of the new library & multi-use facility. I cannot wait for our library to have several meeting rooms, more than one makerspace, a community living room, a large children’s area, and artwork! My hope is that in the new facility we will work together with many other important organizations within our community to better serve our clients’ needs."
-Angela, Customer Service Coordinator
"I’m eager to meet new patrons who may be drawn to the library because of its size and design and for them to discover the value libraries bring to a community."
